It’s 12:30am and I’ve just gotten home from the most intense two days of my whole life. I feel pretty dirty, pretty anxious and pretty tired. Also like I never want to see another small plane ever again in my life. Take note of that, universe.
Because I can’t talk about where I’ve been or what I’ve been doing, I made you guys a mixtape instead. I originally made this playlist on the long trip home and it was exactly what I needed to hear, all the time, forever. It’s a measure of how completely I’m at the end of my rope that by the time I got to the last song, I started crying. And there were people around. People I wanted to impress. People wearing suits. It was a proud moment, to be sure.
My blog is being a total tool and the mixtape won’t embed, which is fantastic because I’m too tired to troubleshoot it right now. So instead, click here and listen to NERVOUS BREAKDOWN.
I was going to call it “Songs to make people worry about you” but I decided against it. Because nobody has to worry about me! Hooray! Everything is fine OH MY GOD I’M SO TIRED.
Here is the track list:
01. Abducted, Cults.
02. You make me like charity, The Knife.
03. Pala, Friendly Fires.
04. I’m on fire, Chromatics.
05. Untitled, Interpol.
06. Parentheses, The Antlers.
07. Calgary, Bon Iver.
08. Pyramid song, Radiohead.
09. Apparitions, The Raveonettes.
10. Stars, The xx.
11. Where two oceans meet, Josh Pyke.
Wow, that’s a lot of “the” bands.
And now I am going to sleep for like two days straight. Oh wouldn’t that be the dream. Goodnight!
